Metelec to exhibit at UK Metals Expo

Metelec is to exhibit for the first time at this year’s UK Metals Expo.

The event takes place at the NEC, Birmingham on 13 and 14 September 2023.

UK Metals Expo is the only event that brings the entire metals supply chain together with engineering and manufacturing.

Visitors can learn about the latest innovations, industry standards, and best practices in the metal industry, as well as see live demonstrations of metalworking processes and techniques.

For Metelec, the exhibition will provide an ideal platform to update the industry on developments within the business and plans for future growth. Alongside its role as one of the UK’s leading stockholders, the company is a trusted supply chain partner to a growing number of switchgear specialists.

Managing Director Kevin Draper said: “Since I joined the business two years ago, our mission has been to grow and develop the business. We supported this growth with the launch of Metelec Ireland in 2020 and a £250,000 investment in new punching and bending machinery in 2021.

“In 2023 we are expanding the business further with a six-figure investment in state-of-the-art CNC bending machinery. Investing in specialist machinery is supporting the rapid growth of our components business.

“We are also due to move to new premises in the coming months to support our growth. Our new state-of-the-art distribution centre and headquarters reflect our commitment to solid, sustainable growth. The brand-new facility has immediate access to the UK motorway network at junction one of the M54. Rated BREEAM Excellent for insulation and thermal efficiency, we will utilise solar panels for zero carbon manufacturing using our state-of-the-art all-electric CNC machinery.”
